Team Cam Volunteers for a Local Cause

Team Cam Volunteers for a Local CauseOn July 10th, Team Cam staff in conjunction with BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) volunteered to help Moveable Feast repair and paint their facility. Moveable Feast provides nutritious meals and other services at no cost to people who are sick and in need.

At Team Cam, we coordinated a “Day of Service” with our BOMA organization where we led volunteers in various projects at the Moveable Feast Facility.  Moveable Feast is a non-profit organization that provides and delivers meals to families in need across Maryland that suffer from devastating illness. They also offer programs devoted to medical transportation, culinary training and nutritional counseling.

After the “Day of Service”, we received the following thanks from the staff at Moveable Feast:

Thanks to all of you for working so hard on Friday to detail our vans- the drivers love that you took care of their office on wheels, cleaned our kitchen, hallways, painted, repaired our list of broken items, created designer meal bags to cheer our clients, and adorned the most beautiful flowers to make our clients smile.  Our staff truly appreciates the fresh office and the time and energy you spent to make our environment cleaner and brighter!

We have already received two phone calls from clients who were especially happy to receive the gorgeous flowers.  The one client had recently lost his dog a week earlier, and his partner the year before.  He thought that his volunteer meal driver had told us about the dogs passing and that we were sending the flowers to cheer him up, as a sympathy gift.  When we explained the gift was from the wonderful volunteers of BOMA, he was especially grateful to learn that so many people were here to support him.  We thank you for turning his day around and having an impact on all of our clients.

I am looking forward to working with all of you again in the future- I hope!  Have a wonderful summer!
